Exeter manager Paul Tisdale admitted his side were "comfortably outplayed" after they fell to a 3-0 defeat at league leaders Brighton. Two goals from Ashley Barnes following an early header by Adam El-Abd stretched the Seagulls unbeaten league run to 12 games and condemned the Grecians to their fourth defeat in five games. Tisdale, who lost five players through illness before the match, said: "It was a difficult night against a very good team who scored three goals. "We had a lot of problems going into the game, it was too big a challenge for us and Brighton were better than us in every department." "We had very little preparation and we were comfortably outplayed and it rounds off a sorry week. "But we're comfortably in mid-table and have done better than some people thought we would."
