Exeter midfielder Bertie Cozic is backing himself to win a place in the first team this season. The 32-year-old Frenchman was left out of the matchday squad for both of the Grecians' first two matches of the campaign, with manager Paul Tisdale picking David Noble, Ryan Harley and Liam Sercombe as his midfield three, with James Dunne on the bench. However, Cozic, who featured heavily for Exeter in pre-season, is confident he will get an opportunity to impress sooner rather than later. "I am most definitely in good form," he told the Exeter Express and Echo. "Now, obviously, I just have to fight for a place. "I know where I am standing right now - behind David Noble, Ryan Harley and Liam Sercombe and Dunney as well. But the manager likes to play different styles and that is when I might get the chance. "If you keep believing in yourself and believing in the manager then at some point you will be given the opportunity to do what you can do and you have to make the most of it."
