The veteran striker was substituted 36 minutes into the goalless draw with Swindon last weekend due to a hamstring injury and missed the midweek defeat against Southampton.
While injury looks set to sideline Cureton, on-loan goalkeeper Ben Hamer has vowed to play through the pain barrier.
The 23-year-old suffered a groin strain against Swindon and had to rely on pain killers to get him through the 2-1 defeat to Southampton.
"I tweaked something and picked up a groin strain in the last five minutes against Swindon and, even though it's clearing up, I had to take a few pain killers to get me through the Southampton game," he said.
"I'm hoping it will be back to normal again by the weekend because I've been happy with how I'm playing but you don't really want to be playing with an injury."
