Home Park duo Matt Villis and Gary Sawyer both appeared as second half substitutes in last Sunday's Centenary game against Brazil after being given permission by new Pilgrims boss Bobby Williamson to search out regular first team football in the lower leagues. The two are both highly rated after progressing through the youth ranks at Argyle, but due to the continuing success of the senior side are expected to find first team action out of reach for the foreseeable future. After giving an impressive account of themselves in the showpiece event, Dolan is now mulling over a formal approach to Argyle about the two defenders. Whether these particular moves come off or not, Eamo has indicated that the newly crowned Division 2 champions may well be a source of manpower in the future.

"We have to be very clever in the way that we recruit our players" he told today's Express and Echo. "And (borrowing players from Argyle) might be another way around bringing in the players we need."
"I had good communication lines with Paul Sturrock, but I've also now got good communication lines with Bobby Williamson aswell."

Meanwhile, Williamson confirmed that he was happy for the youngsters to cut their teeth in a red and white shirt.
"We will be looking to loan some of the younger players out for first-team experience, I do think opportunities are going to be limited with the size of squad we have got." he told the Plymouth Herald.
20 year old Villis and 18 year old Sawyer were joined on Sunday by Wayne O'Sullivan - another Argyle youth product who has not had his contract renewed by Williamson. The right-sided wingback also put in a decent appearence against the South Americans, and Dolan is now considering his options.
