The pacey Winchester City forward has been attracting increasing attention recently after bagging an astonishing 76 goals whilst leading the Denplan City Ground side to FA Vase glory this season. He is a firm favourite at the Hampshire club, after scoring over 350 goals in six seasons. Sheffiled Wednesday, Colchester, Yeovil, Rushden and Diamonds, Woking and Forest Green are all rumoured to be in the hunt for the 25 year old's signature, but following the sale of Jamie Coppinger to Doncaster, Dolan (who has identified a striker with pace as a priority this summer) could feasibly lodge a cash bid. However, Forbes may prove to be out of City's price range as Winchester chairman has slapped a £30,000 price tag on his star striker, who stil has a year to run on his contract. A bid in the region of £22,000 was reportidly turned down just last week from one of Winchester's DML rivals.
Dolan and Director of Football Steve Perryman were both unavailable to comment on the story.
