Exeter V Aldershot at St James Park - Match Preview

Cureton back in Grecians frame

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could recall Jamie Cureton against an Aldershot side he netted twice against back in August.

The 37-year-old scored both goals in City's 2-1 win at the EBB Stadium earlier this season and after a lively substitute appearance against Torquay the former Reading man could be set for his first start in a month.

Cureton saw red in the Grecians' win over Wycombe on New Year's Day and had been suspended until his appearance for the final 30 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Torquay on Monday.

Former Bournemouth midfielder Mark Molesley made his City bow in that televised clash and manager Paul Tisdale was pleased with the debutant's display.

"He hadn't played for over a month now and he played the first half in very difficult conditions into that wind," he said.

"I thought he played with a lot of endeavour and he is going to be a good egg for us."

John O'Flynn (hamstring) and Liam Sercombe (ankle) are still sidelined while Elliott Chamberlain joined Bath City on loan this week.

Aldershot could hand a debut to Asa Hall.

The 26-year-old midfielder signed on loan from Shrewsbury until the end of the season and is expected to go straight into Dean Holdsworth's squad.

The Shots may also give Terrell Forbes his debut, while Lionel Ainsworth is pushing for his first start for the club.

Defender Forbes signed ahead of the FA Cup defeat at Middlesbrough but was unable to take part after appearing in the competition already this season for former club Chesterfield.

Versatile forward Ainsworth has made one substitute appearance since arriving on loan from Rotherham.

Holdsworth will hand fitness tests to defensive duo Aaron Morris and Anthony Tonkin. Morris is struggling with a hamstring problem while Tonkin is recovering from a neck injury.
