MK Dons have no new injury worries, and will hope that Sam Baldock and Luke Chadwick can step up their recoveries.
Jude Stirling (groin) is still out and on-loan QPR striker Angelo Balanta (ankle) will not be back before March.
Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon: "We want the three points desperately, be it against MK Dons or anybody else, we want the three points.
"It's a tight league but that's a good thing and a bad thing, because you've always got the capability of climbing to the top quite quickly, but if things go wrong you can drop quite quickly.
"It seems like lots of teams are strong at home and not so strong away so it makes for a very interesting season.
