In response to Eamonn Dolan's remarks last week, former Fulham star Finnigan said, "With no disrespect I am not interested in the Conference, that is the last option. My job is to get (Lee) into professional football and he has got the talent to play at a higher level".
Lee 'Not Interested in Last Resort'
It all but destroys any hope of a return for the former Yeading midfielder, who has been refusing to tie himself to a new contract since January.
"I can't see him going back to Exeter at this moment in time" he continued, claiming that the Grecians' terms were "out of order".
Lee, who is chasing a trial at Stoke City, is rumoured to have grabbed the attention of several league clubs. But Dolan still maintains that the 24-year-old has been ill advised. Speaking to the Echo last Thursday, he said "He went everywhere on trial before he came to Exeter and it was only is who were prepared to take a gamble on him".
