Exeter City's new striker Daniel Nardiello says he is confident of staying fit and scoring goals in League One this season. The 27-year-old, whose career has been blighted by injury in recent seasons, joined Exeter in July after being released by Blackpool.
Nardiello told BBC Radio Devon: "As long as I stay fit, I'm confident that I can score goals.
"I proved before that when I'm fit, I always seem to score goals."
The Wales international added: "The last couple of years have been a nightmare, I've had lot of injuries but I've sorted myself over the summer and I've had a great pre-season.
"I'm feeling fantastic, so I don't think there's going to be an issue this year."
Nardiello scored seven times in 18 games during loan spells at Hartlepool and Bury last term, and is now hoping to replicate that form for his new club.
He added: "Hopefully we [Exeter] can build on last year and I can score plenty of goals, as with the other lads, and we can get a good finish in the league this year."
Exeter start their League One campaign at home to Colchester on Saturday, 7 August.
