Exeter striker James Norwood believes he has "come on a long way" as he heads into his second season following his move from Eastbourne Town last summer. The 19-year-old only made four appearances for the Grecians last season, including a debut at Elland Road against Leeds. The teenager, who scored 96 goals in 54 games for non-league Eastbourne and England Schools, also spent a month on loan at Sutton United in mid-November and has been full of praise for manager Paul Tisdale. Norwood said: "The loan move last year was brilliant and definitely a good move for me with a chance to play against very different teams. The manager was really good to me as well, he has helped me come on a long way and given me a lot of confidence." Norwood has been impressive in pre-season so far and has already made it on the scoresheet. He added: "I feel fit and I have bulked up in the gym as well so I'm excited about pushing on this season and scoring some goals."
