Exeter director of football Steve Perryman is hopeful of leaving hospital next week after spending over a month being treated for septicaemia. The former Tottenham player has had three different operations during his five-week stay and is confident of playing his part in the new season. Vice-chairman Julian Tagg told the club`s official website: "He is looking better than at any time in the last five weeks. "He has not enjoyed his summer and had a rough few weeks but he will be looking to come out soon."
