Boss Paul Tisdale was delighted to see his side repeat the 3-1 scoreline Exeter recorded over Yeovil at the end of August at Huish Park. Jamie Cureton's brace and Ryan Harley's effort helped the Grecians to a 3-1 victory at Yeovil in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on August 31. History repeated itself less than a month later as the latter again wrapped up a win by the same scoreline, although this time it was Richard Logan who netted twice. "We picked up three points and were very professional," said Tisdale. "The way we did it was a little unexpected when Yeovil equalised but then we came straight back. "It was a really good game just like the previous cup match. We knew Yeovil would have a focused strategy. We know each other so well. "It was a tactical battle in the first half but they didn't really hurt us although there was some good attacking play from Yeovil."
