Exeter boss Paul Tisdale hailed his players after their 3-0 victory over struggling Hereford in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. Tisdale made seven changes from the side that beat Rochdale 1-0 on Saturday, but the Grecians carried on where they left off with a comprehensive victory at Edgar Street, courtesy of goals from Daniel Nardiello, John O'Flynn and Richard Duffy. "We made the changes and I'm pleased with the way the players played," said Tisdale. "We weren't faultless - at times we made mistakes but we played with confidence and got our reward at the end. "We created chances but if you don't create them you don't score goals. It was a fantastic counterattack at the end when Richard (Duffy) drove the ball into the net. "Those are the sort of goals you score when the game has already been won. You rarely score those when it is at 0-0. "It was in the last minute of injury time when we were already two up and it was a fantastic finish."
