Exeter manager Paul Tisdale admitted he was "proud" of everyone involved with the club after a difficult 10 days was concluded with a 2-2 draw against Bristol Rovers. On a day the Grecians paid tribute to recently deceased striker Adam Stansfield, who died from cancer last week, Daniel Nardiello opening the scoring for City before Jo Kuffour equalised. Richard Duffy was sent off for the Grecians in the second half and Will Hoskins gave Rovers the lead only for John O'Flynn to equalise from the penalty spot. Tisdale said: "I am very proud of the players, the supporters and the club in general for getting through the last 10 days and approaching today (Saturday) and applying themselves so well. It was a really positive game and it showed a really positive reflection of Exeter City. I am proud to be involved. "It was about getting the tone right and acknowledging it was going to be a difficult day. I didn't actually need to do too much talking before the game, it was a simple game in terms of how we approached it and spoke about what we needed to do. The only thing I had to do was temper their frustration, their anger or whatever it may be and ask them to relax. "It was a nice start, but we knew it was a long way to go. It was nice for the players to score and celebrate with everything else with it. It was about how the players performed and work together as a team. That is what I wanted to see. It was an odd build up to the game, we just spoke about performing correctly."
