The 28-year-old, who signed for the Grecians from Bristol City in the summer, has been excellent in recent weeks, much to the delight of Tisdale.
"The last four games he's probably been our best player," the manager told thisisdevon.co.uk. "It's taken him a while but when you've been out for a year it's no wonder."
Noble jarred his knee during Saturday's 5-1 hammering of Sheffield Wednesday and had to be replaced, but Tisdale is confident the midfielder will be fit in time for the Boxing-Day clash with Swindon.
"It was a shame for him to have come off because he was probably our best player in the first half, as he has been for the last three or four games," he added.
"David is in extremely good form and there's nearly a week until the next game, so hopefully he can recover."
