Exeter boss Paul Tisdale felt his side looked "close to being a good side" during the 2-2 draw with Colchester. Ryan Harley put Exeter ahead with an early penalty, but two goals in as many minutes from winger Anthony Wordsworth gave the visitors the lead at the break. But substitute Richard Logan grabbed an equaliser with three minutes left to leave Tisdale in reflective mood. He said: "We are on the scoreboard and we have a point, so I`m not too disappointed with it. There is a heck of a lot to talk about in terms of the meat of the game, but in the grand scheme of things it was a very good point. "We looked close to being a very good side without actually being one. It didn't feel like we were that far away from really putting a display in. "We were a fraction away from being 2-0 up inside five minutes and five minutes later, we were 2-1 down. The first game of the season rarely goes to script and I`m glad the lads got a point on the board."
