Farnborough Town were sent to their second successive defeat losing 2-1 in a hard fought battle against Exeter City.
Both teams started at a lively pace as Boro keeper Mark Osborn was kept busy from the start.
After nine minutes Sean Devine register his first effort which Osborn tipped over the bar.
Boro's Howard Forinton's effort was saved as play switched ends before a good shot from Devine was well saved by Osborn.
A good chance came for Jalo Issufo Sombili but he put his effort well over the bar.
Then with their third corner Boro took the lead through Forinton who headed past the keeper for 1-0.
Devine was off again in reply with an effort that was aimed straight at Osborn.
At the other end Ross Weatherstone tried to head home but was just off target after a corner.
In the last chance of the half Steve Flack's cross come shot was saved as City went into the break trailing by a goal.
The second half opened with three corners for Exeter but they failed to find the leveller.
Boro had a penalty appeal turned down before City found the equaliser.
From a corner Devine slotted home from close range after 57 minutes.
Boro had a chance to take the lead again but Forinton's effort was well blocked.
Richard Hodgson then won a free-kick on the edge of the area but fired straight at the keeper.
Then after 76 minutes Exeter found a winner as Gareth Sheldon's cross was met by Glenn Cronin, who fired past Osborn for 2-1.
Boro tried to come back but despite their efforts they could not find an equaliser and Exeter took three points back to Devon.
